இந்நடுகல் ஆநிரைகள் (ஆடு, மாடு) அல்லது ஊர் மக்களைக் தாக்கிய(அ) கொன்ற புலியை எதிர்த்துப் போரிட்டு, புலியைக் கொன்று, தானும் இறந்து போன வீர மறவனுக்கு அவ்வூர் மக்கள் நடுகல் அமைத்து தெய்வமாக வழிபட்டதை அறிய முடிகிறது
