கெம்பட்டி குதிரை வீரன் நடுகல் ( தளி ) "Kempatti Horse Warrior Hero Stone"

குதிரை வீரன் நடுகல் என்பது போர்க் களத்திலோ அல்லது கால்நடைகளை மீட்கும் பூசலிலோ (ஆநிரை மீட்டல்/கவர்தல்), குதிரை மீது அமர்ந்து வீரமுடன் போரிட்டு உயிர்நீத்த வீரனின் நினைவைப் போற்றும் வகையில் எடுக்கப்படும் நடுகல்லாகும். பண்டைய தமிழர்களின் வீரத்தையும், போர் முறைகளையும் அறிந்துகொள்ள இந்த நடுகற்கள் மிகச் சிறந்த தொல்லியல் சான்றுகளாகும். இந்த நடுகல்லின் காலம் 150 லிருந்து 200 வருடங்கள் வரை இருக்கக்கூடும் இதில் வீரன் குதிரையும் இல்லாமல் ஒரு கையில் வாளையும் ஒரு கையில் சாட்டையும் பிடித்துள்ளவாறு காட்டப்பட்டுள்ளான் குதிரை ஓடும் நிலையில் காட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது

A "Kuthirai Veeran Nadukal" (Horse-Rider Hero Stone) is a memorial stone erected to honor a warrior who died fighting bravely on horseback, either on a battlefield or during a skirmish to recover/capture cattle (cattle raiding). These hero stones serve as excellent archaeological evidence for understanding the valor and warfare methods of the ancient Tamils. This particular hero stone is estimated to be between 150 and 200 years old.
